If trees could talk, Tathastu would have folklores to share - giggly courtyard girl stories, news of the outside world, what neighbours were up to, who's marrying whom. It all lies there within those wooden frescos, windows, door frames and thresholds that once graced the havelis, majestic palaces, country homes and huge mansions in old India. The Hut complex:
Things happen over drinks and smoke! 11 years ago, 8 artists of varying disciplines (painting, advertising, writing, poetry, theater and industrial photography) got together one evening for the usual, 'Let's meet up..' at a local bar in the Mumbai city, which turned out into a conversational creative dream of living together.
