The Israel-Asia Chamber of Commerce (IACC) and the Federation of the Indo-Israeli Chambers of Commerce (FIICC) presented the seminar on, "India-Israel partnership in Pre-Harvest and Post-Harvest technological solutions", on 29th June 2009, at the IMC. It focused on Pomegranate cultivation, farming and harvesting the present and the future. It was aimed at also forging business relationship between the two countries who are leaders in the fruit cultivation (India) and technology (Israel).

Current turbulence in the Indian aviation industry has had a severe impact on the survival of the 10 lakh strong community of local travel agents. 14 foreign airlines have abolished agency commission in clear contravention of their contractual obligation and established business practices. This is a violation of the MRP concept and the retail practice of bundling the agents' remuneration in the product price. It is also in defiance of the DGCA's directives that published tariff must include commission payable to agents (Section 135 of the Indian Aircraft Rules, 1937).
