The event was graced by the Deputy Chief Minister, Shri Chhagan Bhujbal. His encouraging remarks to professionals to participate into the various government and semi government projects to improve and revamp age-old structures to suit the modern age and changing environment and sky line added strength to IIID. IIID-ASIAN PAINTS DESIGN CHAAT on 13th Feb'10 at the Mumbai Cricket Association - a feast offered by various achievers into the most creative projects of allied fields of art & architecture, leaving a taste of creative feast to upcoming professionals & students of architecture and Interior Design. The Banquet hall was full of young enthusiastic students and touched by the series of presentations given by most creative personalities like Ar.Kamal Mallik, Ar. Arzan Khambatta, Ar. Rajiv Mishra, Ar. Areen Attari, Ar. Shabnam Gupta, Ar. Hetal Shukla, Ar. Rahul Gore, Ar. Jinu Kurien, Ar. Pranav Upasani and Int. Designer Conrad Gonsalves. The Design Chat was co.ordinated by our very own young dynamic architects Ar. Ninad Tipnis and Ar. Anant Bhat. It was very informative and inspiring to tap and expand on the creative abilities of the students, the future generation of our country. There was a special presentation on colours by our Principle sponsor M/s. Asian Paints Ltd. IIID- BNP INTERIORS WALKATHON Walk for green Interiors - on 14th Feb.'10 which began from the Mumbai Educational Trust (M.E.T.) via Mehboob studio to bandra banstand and back to M.E.T. The walkathon was attended in large numbers of all age groups. This walk was organized to create awareness towards green architecture whereby, we enjoy and breathe into pollution free environment and create a sustainable growth for the coming generation. All these days were most memorable and exciting adding value to the delegates and guests who attended the Festival.
